Accommodation

Can I stay at the wedding venue?

What the minimum stay?


All our weddings packages come standard with a two-night stay. Don't hesitate to contact us if you want to stay additional nights or if you don't want to book accommodation. Call us directly on 0406 995 332 or bookings@kangaroovalleycountrywedding.com.au We can also charge the rooms to your guest directly.




What will we find in our villa?


The villas are well equipped with a flat-screen TV and BlueTooth speaker, cooking utensils, coffee and tea, sugar, salt and pepper. Luxury appointed linen and towels are also supplied.
Air-conditioned and there is a fireplace inside and outside, including an Italian pizza oven. Firewood will be stacked near your door for your convenience.




What do we need to bring?


You will need to bring all your food and beverages. Everything else is provided. {Oh and pizza dough, perfect for the outdoor pizza oven}




Laundry


Laundry facilities are available onsite, exclusively to the guest staying at our villa, including an electric dryer and outdoor clotheslines. There is eco-washing powder there for your use and an ironing machine and garment steamer.




What are the check-in / check-out times?


Check-in time is 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am. Should you wish to vary this please let us know in advance and we will do everything possible to accommodate you.




Where will we find the key?


Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our staff members. In case you arrive after hours, we will provide detailed instructions via email.




Can we bring pets?


Unfortunately, pets cannot stay at Wildwood for the safety of our animals and local wildlife, but there are boarding kennels in Kangaroo Valley (phone 02 4465 1043).




Can we have a campfire?


The villa has its own inside fire pit and outdoor pizza oven for you to enjoy. We only require that you be aware of local fire bans, weather conditions and follow the safety guidelines provided in your compendium in your villa. Bushfire is the biggest threat to our unspoilt bushland, so we ask that you please act responsibly.




Villa layout


The house has a king bridal suite at one end of the house and then 3 x queens at the other end. There are many other places close by. Under certain circumstances (like not wanting to split the bridal party up - we can look at a few extras, but please note there are only two bathrooms, and it may get a little tight!)





Wedding Venue

How do I arrange a viewing at the wedding venue?


Simply hit the ‘Book Site Inspection’ button on in the menu and fill out the form to secure your timeslot. This is sent directly to the venue owner/manager who will be in touch to coordinate.




How do I book the wedding venue?


Venue booking happen directly with the venue owner or manager. Call us directly on 0406 995 332 or bookings@kangaroovalleycountrywedding.com.au




What happens if the venue cancels on me or I need to cancel my venue?


If for any unfortunate and highly unlikely reason the wedding is not able to go ahead, our venue has its own cancellation policy within the venue’s terms and conditions.




Can I BYO to the wedding venue?


Yes, we are a BYO venue. We do not allow your guests to BYO - strictly purchased and supplied by you. We provide a bartender with RSA to serve your beer, wine, champagne, and all the required glassware. We suggest having it delivered the day before, so we ensure it's nice and cold. You pick up the leftovers the next day at check out.




What about insurance? Do I need one?


The venue has Public Liability Insurance, which protects us against any damage to the property and in the event that someone injures himself or herself while on the property. In terms of covering yourself, there are many wedding-insurance providers online that can cover you in the event of any unforeseen events. Purchasing wedding insurance is a personal decision – we’d recommend jumping online and doing some research to see if this feels like the right decision for you.

What happens to the deposit?


We hold the deposit until 7 days after the wedding. It is fully refundable, providing nothing is broken. We generally ask for it to be paid upfront to secure the date. You can see the full T&C's HERE




Is it possible to do a viewing via facetime/zoom or skype (some kind of video call)?


Absolutely! We can jump on a call Wed-Sat. The vibe and atmosphere are hard to experience until you come here. Is there someone you could send that could vouch whether it felt right for you two?




Is there anything additional by way of fees/costs?


We certainly try very hard to be concise with our prices and have nothing hidden away.





Catering

Can I use my own caterer?


Although for consistency and quality, we encourage you to use our chef and commercial kitchen, which uses local produce. Should you have a prefered caterer, they are welcome at wildwood.




How do dietary requirements work with catering? Is there additional cost?


No additional costs - we make beautiful meals from scratch for dietary requirements. IE, just because your guest is a vegetarian doesn't mean it will be an afterthought and not the same excellent quality as the rest of the food.




Is cakeage/corkage additional?


No. We pride ourselves on being totally inclusive and not charging for things like this.




Is tea/coffee/soft-drinks provided, or something we need to provide/an additional cost?

Extras

Can we buy food close by?


Kangaroo Valley is the quintessential small town which has a bakery, cafes, a small supermarket and bottle shop for some supplies, however if you’re looking to stock up or prepare for a big weekend cook up then we recommend you stop somewhere like Bowral or Moss Vale on the way to stock up.

Is there mobile / WiFi reception?


Our villas have WiFi via Starlink satellite. This is a high-speed internet connection. And depending on your carrier, mobile reception may be limited, so we encourage you to connect via WiFi or switch off and relax.

What is the situation with the mini-bus usage?


We have an 11 seater minibus suited for weddings up to 40 ppl - delivering guests to and from accommodation in Kangaroo Valley. After that, we suggest the larger bus at $850 as even driving around the valley we will have just too many trips to get everyone to and from the venue with hours apart.




Are we allowed to bring our own confetti? If so what types are allowed?


We welcome you to bring your own confetti - however, being an eco venue, we only allow confetti made from petals and leaves.

At Wildwood, the safety of our clients, guests, suppliers, employees and their families is always our top priority. We are officially registered as a COVID Safe business and are incredibly excited to reopen our unique venue in a controlled and responsible way! To ensure the safety of everyone, we have implemented a few changes (in accordance with the advice from the NSW Health Department, State and Federal Governments). In preparation for your event in our venue and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our clients, guests, contractors, suppliers and employees, we are taking steps to minimise the potential health and business impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak. We are working on the operational considerations in line with the Government’s current plans to ease COVID-19 restrictions.
