In the coastal town of Thirroul, Sophie and Alicia were building a life together. Sophie worked as a primary school teacher, while Alicia, a train driver, navigated the vast landscapes of New South Wales. Their journey brought them to the picturesque Kangaroo Valley, drawn by its unique name and the allure of native wildlife, perfectly embodying the Australian lifestyle they cherished.
As they planned their wedding, they discovered Wildwood that seemed to meet all their needs: a beautiful spot for the ceremony, a reception area, and cosy accommodation for their guests. Their day was filled with love, laughter, and the company of family and friends.
Among their special guests was their niece, Pip, affectionately called Pippi, who would be celebrating her fifth birthday on the same day as their wedding, adding even more joy to the occasion. Sophie and Alicia planned delightful surprises, including a gelato cart and late-night fries with Bumpy Road, ensuring everyone could enjoy tasty treats throughout the celebration.
During the cocktail hour, the terrace was transformed into a fun space filled with laughter. Playing games on the terrace to entertain guests and to enhance the lively atmosphere.
The couple embraced meaningful traditions, including a smoking ceremony that honoured the land's history. They captured precious moments in a nearby cave, enjoyed swings, and explored the lush bushland, all while creating lasting memories.
They concluded the evening by dancing outside all night under the festoon lights.
The day after guests enjoyed a Recovery Brunch with an on-site BBQ, a relaxed morning filled with shared stories and laughter.
