A Unique Long Lunch Experience
Largely seen as our funnest and most anticipated long lunch of the year, Wildwood is excited to host Terra Firma from QLD for the fire feast event. This amazing culinary experience will bring together tantalizing flavors from both land and sea.
Our Vision for the Long Lunch Series
Our aim with the Long Lunch series is to showcase some of our region's best produce. We collaborate with amazing chefs from around the world for this culinary journey. This year, tickets are available for both Saturday, August 2nd, and Sunday, August 3rd.
Highlights of the Long Lunch
What’s Included in Your Ticket?
A feast featuring local produce from the land and sea, prepared by the Terra Firma team. Enjoy BBQ side chats with Charly about the perfect asado setup and condiments sourced from Valley local, Angie. We are pleased to announce all meats will be locally reared by regenerative farmers at Rosewood KV, with vegetables sourced from local farms.
Delicious wines and craft beers are included during the seated meal.
Our musicians will provide songs inspired by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli on a summer's day!
Floral arrangements by the talented Wattlewood Florals will adorn the tables. Games will be available for guests, along with a chance to tour Wildwood House and explore over 2 km of bush walks through the rainforest and by the creek.
A tree will be planted for every ticket purchased.
Engaging the Kids: Bush Kids Club
Wildwood is a place for everyone. We’ve created a special experience for our younger guests. Our aim is to provide an immersive adventure while adults enjoy their long lunch.
We are working with Drew Longbottom, our friend and traditional custodian of the land, to design a separate adventure for kids ages 6 and up. After a welcome to country, the Bush Kids Club will embark on their journey through the magical spots of Wildwood. Activities include a bush tucker walk, ochre face painting, and dances that have been performed in Kangaroo Valley for generations.
Each ticket includes a simple fire lunch, ensuring the kids experience a true Aussie bush adventure. They will be supervised by at least two WWCC-accredited adults at all times.

A Culinary Experience Like No Other
This fire lunch is a feast for the senses. Guests will enjoy the sights, smells, and flavors of open-fire cooking in the lush surroundings of Wildwood’s rainforest and bush escarpment. This style of dining returns to basic cooking techniques, embracing fire and the best local ingredients.
Charly and the Terra Firma team will share insights about preparing the meal. As aromas fill the air, guests can watch the masters at work in our bush kitchen. Matching condiments will be provided by Angie’s Food. Angie is a local who collaborates with farmers to create delicious products.
We will also feature premium local beers and exquisite Argentine wines throughout the day, all included in your ticket price.
Join us as we celebrate food and a unique outdoor dining experience. Help yourself to generous portions, choose your favorite cuts, and enjoy the delightful flavors while surrounded by good company.
